About the Role
At Mimic, we’re rethinking ransomware defense. As a Product Engineer, you'll help build the next generation of AI-powered security products—from developing customer-facing features for mature offerings to creating entirely new capabilities from the ground up.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of product and engineering. You'll move quickly from idea to implementation, building full-stack products and AI-native experiences that solve real customer problems. You'll work in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with tight feedback loops, partnering closely with customers and cross-functional teams to rapidly iterate on what works.
You'll help define how AI agents operate in enterprise environments—building intelligent workflows, orchestration systems, and product experiences that are reliable, scalable, and production-ready. Your work will directly influence how customers interact with our products and how we continue to push the boundaries of AI-powered cybersecurity.
What You’ll Do
Build Full-Stack Products: Design, build, and ship customer-facing features across the stack for both established and early-stage products. Take ideas from concept to production with a focus on speed, quality, and customer impact.
Develop AI-Powered Experiences: Build and integrate AI-native capabilities, including LLM-powered workflows, AI agents, and intelligent automation designed for enterprise environments.
Own Product Development: Drive technical execution across the entire product lifecycle—from prototyping and architecture decisions to implementation, testing, and deployment.
Design Reliable AI Systems: Build systems that coordinate AI models, tools, and workflows while optimizing for reliability, latency, scalability, and production correctness.
Experiment and Iterate Quickly: Analyze real-world product behavior, gather customer feedback, and continuously improve AI experiences through experimentation, evaluation, and rapid iteration.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with engineering, design, product, sales, and customers to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions that solve real-world problems.
Build for Enterprise Scale: Design products that are secure, reliable, and scalable for large enterprise customers across complex IT environments.
Solve Customer Problems: Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and translate them into thoughtful product experiences.
Improve Engineering Velocity: Establish and refine development workflows, tooling, and processes that enable rapid iteration and high-quality product delivery.
Drive Technical Decisions: Evaluate technologies, make architectural trade-offs, and contribute to product strategy in a fast-moving startup environment.
Own Outcomes: Take ownership of your work from ideation to launch, balancing customer needs, technical excellence, and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For

5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building full-stack products in startup or high-growth environments.

Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience building production-grade applications and shipping customer-facing products.

Experience building or integrating AI-powered products, including familiarity with AI agents, LLM-based applications, orchestration frameworks, or intelligent workflows.

Experience building products for enterprise environments, with an understanding of scalability, security, and complex customer requirements.

Strong product mindset—you enjoy working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to build products that solve meaningful problems.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working across the product development lifecycle, from rapid prototyping to production deployment and iteration.
